2018 Evidence 'Of Divine Intervention' Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville
A very long ‘front-to-back’ palate experience with a full frontal nose of fruit, fruit, fruit! Blue, Black and Red fruit are noticeably present along with long, silky tannins for a very balanced structure. Earth, pencil shavings, and tar are ever-present in its breadth, as this wine is not only long on its linger, but boldly splashes over the sides of the tongue and fills in all the blanks.
James Suckling
Very typical Coombsville this year, offering blueberries and blackberries with some blackcurrant and lead-pencil undertones. Turns to tar. Medium-bodied with fine, creamy tannins that are long and refined. Hints of orange at the end. Cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Delicious finish. This will age beautifully. Drink or hold.

With 21% Cabernet Franc, this is a stunning, elegant wine from the cooler appellation, aged 2 years in French Oak. Earthy sage and dried her meet a balanced layer of crisp red fruit and restrained tannin, a touch of clove persistent on the lengthy finish.

From a site in the cooler Coombsville appellation, in the southern part of the valley, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Immaculate Vineyard sports a dense purple hue as well as a great, classic, cool-climate Napa nose of cassis and blueberry fruits interwoven with notions of green tobacco, cedarwood, and lead pencil. Rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, it has a rounded, expansive texture, sweet tannins, and a great finish. Drink bottles any time over the coming 20 years or more.
