2018 Forman Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Forman throws a knockout that will leave you seeing stars. Sitting at the base of Howell Mountain, staring down at St. Helena, Forman Vineyards only sets loose about 2,000 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon from Ric Forman’s three estate vineyards. 2018 has impeccable balance and an aromatic presence that invites you in just to sit you down with energy, tension, and precision that stings like a bee. We expect this beauty to age with plenty of grace.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely impeccable. Best of all, it won't require years in the cellar to be enjoyable. In fact, it is quite expressive today. Juicy dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice, leather and cinnamon are some of the many notes that flesh out in the glass. Silky and supple, with no hard edges, Ric Forman's 2018 is a thing of beauty. The 2018 is a bit more open in the early going than Forman fans are likely to expect.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is terrific, and I suspect it has some upside. Lots of currants, dried herbs, flowers, camphor, and spice box notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, pretty, beautifully balanced Cabernet with fine tannins and a great finish.
