2018 was a great vintage for this gorgeous Chablis, which promises peak enjoyment after 2022. The bouquet is a generous display of white flowers with yellow plum, orange pith, and stony notes. The dense palate shows great balance, opening with lime and orange and ending long, with a whisper of dill and white pepper that lingers in the mouth.
The 2018 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru is ample and creamy in the glass, with soft contours and lovely textural richness. Suave and silky, the 2018 shows good depth but it is also not fully formed as it likely will be at the end of élevage. Persistent and impeccable in its balance, the Vaudésir is very nicely done. This is such a pretty and promising Chablis.
