A third standout vintage in a row from this tremendous vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Dark ruby from rim to core, this wine flaunts its youth with black cherry, ripe plum and orange blossoms on the nose. Considerable purity, complexity and structure come together in a remarkable Pinot Noir that will age gracefully for years to come. Limit 3 bottle per customer.
Deep magenta. A highly complex bouquet evokes ripe red and blue fruits, allspice, cola, potpourri and succulent herbs, and a hint of smokiness builds in the glass. Densely packed yet lively in style, offering palate-coating black raspberry, boysenberry, candied rose and mocha flavors that turn sweeter through the midpalate. Finishes impressively long, smooth and spicy, with polished tannins framing lingering red berry preserve and floral pastille notes. All de-stemmed fruit and 40% new French oak.JD93
Classic cool-climate Pinot Noir notes of black cherries, sappy flowers, forest floor, and menthol emerge from the 2018 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard, another elegant, medium-bodied, classy wine in this lineup with plenty to love. It's going to keep for 5-7 years or more, but it's certainly beautiful today as well.
