RW Moore is an old-vine vineyard dating back to 1905, making it the oldest vineyard in Coombsville and the region’s only Zinfandel. That’s some seriously special fruit! The 2018 is a rich and creamy red with dense aromas of black plum, cured meats, and a whisper of cotton candy. Beautifully balanced with great depth of fruit on the mid-palate meeting fresh acidity and dusty tannins. This Wine Enthusiast Cellar Selection will only continue to improve over the next few years, but best to lock it down now!
First planted in 1905, this is a relatively cool-climate site that imparts great brightness and tart acidity to the wine. A dark cherry flavor is powerfully represented, alongside baked plum, blackberry and black pepper. A taut structure suggests this will do well with time in bottle.
