Walter Schug built his reputation with California’s first proprietary Bordeaux-Style blend (Insignia) but it was Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that had his heart! The Estate Pinot Noir is lovely and complex, with a bouquet of roses, ripe cherries and a savory smokiness that carries through to the finish. Full-bodied with a tight, polished palate and long tannins, this comes ready to impress.
Lovely complexity to this with dried strawberries, mushrooms and some flowers, following through to a full-bodied, tight and polished palate with long, tight tannins. Really pretty.
