With four decades of winemaking experience, the Venge family is in a groove when it comes to producing some of the best Cabernet in the valley. Their 2018 is a powerful, beautifully concentrated wine. Fresh roasted coffee, cassis and aromatic blue fruits lead the way to full bodied deliciousness. Smack your lips on this.
Just over 40 years old, Kirk Venge has already established himself as an indispensible winemaker in the Napa Valley, gaining enviable critical acclaim for his no-holds-barred, ripe and plush Cabernet Sauvignon. We often say that Kirk’s wines should come with a hedonism warning label, or require some sort of permit. Kirk took over Venge Vineyards from his dad Nils in 2008, and has never looked back. He’s built an impressive consulting roster too, making wines for luminaries like B Cellars, Hunnicutt, Macauley, Bacio Divino, and Trespass.
