2019 Alexander Valley Vineyards Cabernet Franc Alexander Valley

AVV produces one of very few 100% Cabernet Francs in California, embracing a variety often relegated to “wine nerds” or to the background in a blend. This chewy, balanced wine serves up plenty in terms of flavor and texture without any help. On the nose, aromas of black cherry and cola give way to a black olive nuance. Flavors of cassis, plum, blueberry and more black cherry are framed in vanilla from the new French oak.
