This staff favorite haunts our dreams at Bounty Hunter, delivering loads of flavor at such an easy price. The fruit-driven palate is bursting with macerated cherries and pomegranate, plus earthy pine notes that keep the whole effect beautifully grounded. This is the main pillar in the Banshee portfolio, and they dial in their vineyard selection more each year. We love that this just keeps getting better – we only hope the price won’t jump to meet the quality!
Begun in 2009 by three friends, Noah Dorrance, Baron Ziegler and Steve Graf who were working in the trade, Banshee was started with the purchase of eight barrels of coveted Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Without a clear plan, the wine sold in five weeks time and a business was born. With the addition of Ross Cobb, an alum of Hirsch, Flowers and Williams-Selyem and Katy Wilson who worked at Larue and Flowers, the aim is to craft distinctive wines that over-deliver in every possible way.
