I scream, you scream, we all scream for Banshee! Aromatics of rose water and salted strawberries lead to bright flavors of cantaloupe and Meyer lemon in this dry, crisp summer sipper. Blended masterfully from 48% Sangiovese, 25% Grenache, 16% Syrah, plus a little Barbera and Zinfandel, there’s so much deliciousness to unpack in this racy rosé that you’re sure to cry out for a fresh bottle before the last drop is dry.
Begun in 2009 by three friends, Noah Dorrance, Baron Ziegler and Steve Graf who were working in the trade, Banshee was started with the purchase of eight barrels of coveted Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Without a clear plan, the wine sold in five weeks time and a business was born. With the addition of Ross Cobb, an alum of Hirsch, Flowers and Williams-Selyem and Katy Wilson who worked at Larue and Flowers, the aim is to craft distinctive wines that over-deliver in every possible way.
Complex fruit flavors and a snappy texture make this medium-bodied wine both refreshing and satisfying. Brilliant sour cherry and rich grapefruit notes light up the palate.
