2019 Blind Justice 'Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard' Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

$249.95

The dream team does it again. Melka, Koschitzky and Sands have collaborated on a compelling Cabernet. The creamy mouthfeel is almost decadent, but there’s always a balance kept between opulence and energy. Wonderfully expressive in its aromas and flavors, it’s just swimming with dark cherry and plum on a bed of dried flowers and gravel with a hint of mint. Complex and impressive, as always.

Integrity, quality, honesty and trust. These are the core values of the Bounty Hunter and the mantra for the Justice trio. With almost 15 vintages crafted expressly for Bounty Hunter, we couldn’t be prouder of the track record of our own flagship brand. They hang with the very best of the Napa Valley. Andy Beckstoffer’s Dr. Crane and To Kalon vineyards are Napa Valley royalty, first recognized for their greatness in the 19th century. They are two of the most purely alluvial vineyard sites in the valley, making them true Napa Valley Grand Crus. It isn’t just hype or fashion that causes wines from these vineyards to receive legions of 100-point scores every year; it’s the fact that these are simply magic vineyard sites, ones that have helped elevate brands like Schrader, Carter Cellars, Paul Hobbs, Realm, and Myriad to superstar status. Our long and enthusiastic partnership with these vineyards dates back almost 15 years, and the track record of our Justice wines now speaks for itself. Justice is served.

Vinous

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Blind Justice Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is creamy and super-expressive from start to finish. The balance of opulence and energy here makes for an absolutely compelling Cabernet. Dark cherry, plum, tobacco, dried flowers, menthol and gravel lend quite a bit of complexity throughout. Impressive.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is all Cabernet from one of the greatest sites for the variety in the world. Aged 22 months in 71% new French oak, it has classy notes of pure cassis, dried flowers, baking chocolate, and incense. These carry to a full-bodied, textured Cabernet with some firmer tannins, good overall balance, and a great finish. Give bottles 2-3 years and enjoy over the following 15-20.
