2019 Carter Cellars 'Carter' Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
This blend of the full breadth of Carter’s vineyard sources showcases the best Napa Valley has to offer in a single, spectacular bottle. Jeb Dunnuck digs the “awesome Pauillac-like notes of cassis, lead pencil, burning embers, tobacco and cedarwood,” calling it “a brilliant wine in the making,” after his barrel sample. The racy, layered style perfectly captures the purity and elegance of the vintage.

Awesome Pauillac-like notes of cassis, lead pencil, burning embers, tobacco, and cedarwood all emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Carter, and it's full-bodied, concentrated, and locked and loaded on the palate. Despite its richness and concentration, it still stays lively and weightless, with an almost Graves-like sense of minerality and earthiness on the finish. It's a brilliant wine in the making.
