A very elegant expression of Cabernet Franc with alluring aromas of cassis, currants, and tobacco leaf, leading to a medium-bodied palate that has real lift from a core of lacy acidity framed by gentle tannins that are extrememly fine-grained. Mineral-scented black cherry fruit intertwines with blood orange notes and crushed river stones. Founded in 1973, Conn Creek winery is situated on the eastern side of Napa Valley, just off the Silverado Trail. Best known for its Bordeaux-styled wines, Elizabeth DeLouise-Gant has been winemaker since 2017. Previously, she worked at Beaulieu Vineyard, Tamber Bey, and Stag's Leap Wine Cellars.
