2019 Fel Wines Pinot Noir Anderson Valley
The premier sites behind this beauty include the expressive Ferrington and Wendling vineyards, perched at opposite ends of the valley. Protected inland vines provide the black cherry, raspberry and plum aromatics. “Deep end” vineyards near the ocean deliver spicy notes of cedar, cigar box and cinnamon. The balance captures the broader character of the appellation in each lingering, delicious sip. Simply put, this Pinot rocks.
With the acquisition of Breggo Cellars and the heralded Savoy Vineyard in 2014, FEL was born in Anderson Valley, the brainchild of our friend Cliff Lede. The letters in FEL represent Florence Elsie Lede: Cliff Lede’s mother, a home winemaker who provided the early inspiration for Lede’s love of wine. The label also honors her passion for gardening with an illustration of an opening tulip. We are consistently floored by FEL’s Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.
