The Rockgarden vineyard is named for the large cobbles dotting the soil around the vines, planted on the steepest part of the San Lorenzo estate. Challenging terroir often makes for exceptional wines, and this special Zinfandel regularly tops the charts at Wine Spectator. Difficult to find outside of the tasting room and well-allocated restaurants, we’re pretty pleased we scored some to share with you. It’s bold, weighty and delicious, with blackberry and cassis plus earth and cedar accents and seamless tannins.
