“Overdelivers" is a term that sometimes gets “overused” in the wine world, but what else could you say about Martin Ray's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon for under $30?! Rated 93 points from James Suckling, the quality is in the bottle for the price. Cassis, elderflower and vanilla are present on the nose and palate. Exciting notes of mulberry and tart cherry round out the palate. Tannins integrate nicely for a long, satisfying finish.
A very savory and delicious red with red-meat and currant aromas and flavors. Medium body and lightly chewy tannins. Currants and fresh herbs. Real cabernet character and dry at the end. Excellent value. Drink or hold.
