Reminiscent of the Sauvignons of northern Italy, this Napa darling conjures visions of freshly baked lemon bars. Balancing the intense lemon zest and orange blossoms is a satisfying mineral detail, like sea-kissed stones. The grapes for this were harvested from vineyards with temperatures hitting the highest highs and the lowest lows, to capture the right combination of intensity and freshness to match the best of Italy.
A lovely ode to Friuli Sauvignon Blanc. A pure, crystalline nose of lemongrass, papaya and crushed chalk. The palate is bright and laser-focused with squeaky-clean acidity and tangy flavours of tangerine and lemon zest. Tension-filled and simply delicious on the finish. Grapes are sourced from the Juliana Vineyard in Pope Valley and Alta Vista in Carneros, then whole-cluster pressed, barrel fermented and aged in stainless barrels and 15% neutral French oak for six months.
