Selected as the finest Areni from the high-elevation vineyards of Rind in Vayots Dzor, the 'Sarpina' exemplifies the future of Yacoubian-Hobbs wines. Named after vine training posts recorded in Armenian agricultural history, 'Sarpina' honors Armenia’s ancient wine legacy. Areni, an ancient variety indigenous to Armenia, thrives in the rocky, mineral-rich, volcanic soils of Vayots Dzor, producing fresh, elegant wines with bright red fruit flavors and a distinctive black pepper spice. Aged in French oak and produced in small quantities, this wine embodies the unique terroir of vineyards situated over 1,200 meters above sea level, near the historic Areni-1 cave, site of the world’s oldest known proto-winery. With exuberant aromas and a structured palate, this wine offers a glimpse into Armenia's rich viticultural history and its promising future.

An inviting and concentrated red, with an evident grace from start to finish. Rose petals are veiled in black cherry and wild strawberry. Mid-point notes of cigar leaf and bramble ad to its appeal. Acidity is balanced with a mineral sidekick, invigorating the wine’s freshness.
