From the very front of the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, this block produced exceptional wines in 2021 as a result of natural restraint that we matched with the talented winemaking of Russell Bevan. Dark red and blue fruits, ripe stone fruit, and minerals co-mingle to create a lavish multi-layered wine, offering an enormous mid-palate buttressed perfectly by the wine's natural acidity and ultrafine tannins. Offering a unique amount of ripeness and texture, this is an elegant wine wrapped up in a cloak of raw but refined power. Those that can wait and cellar this wine 5 – 10 years will be rewarded for their patience.

Ripe, voluptuous, flawlessly balanced, and as hedonistic as 2021 gets, this stunningly beautiful Cabernet is far from unapproachable today yet will nevertheless benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and cruise over the following two decades or more. (It will probably merit a three-digit rating at maturity.) This is insanely good!
