If you’re looking for a sure bet, Gamble has you covered with this fresh, lively rosé. At its heart, a little Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon brings loads of character, highlighted by some Napa Valley Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Ripe cherries and delicate earth make this rosé a perfect pairing for grilled prawns and summer days.
Tom Gamble grew up in Oakville with his father and uncles farming the land. Tom planned to follow in their footsteps and take up the grower lifestyle. None of his family had ever made wine before, however. Not wanting to gamble with the family name, (pun intended), Tom spent many years growing grapes and refining his craft before debuting a Gamble Family wine. Winemaker Jim Close grew up in the UK, and regularly went to France to stock up on wine. He approaches winemaking with an Old World sensibility, as he started his career in the Languedoc-Roussillon before finding his way to Gamble.
