The latest small batch release from Amador County is a 12-year bourbon that begins its life in Kentucky and is aged 8+ years before being transported to wine country and transferred to Napa Chardonnay barrels for 4 years of finishing. With rich supple tones of caramel covered apples, a hint of spice and oak, along with a truly gorgeous mouthfeel there's a lot to love in this bottle. Fewer than 350 cases were produced and when this is gone, it's gone for good!
Amador Whiskey Company is passionate about making limited-production, luxury bourbon whiskey. Their first creation was Amador Whiskey 10-Barrel, a California straight hop-flavored whiskey crafted with Charbay Distillers and finished in Trinchero family Chardonnay oak barrels. The second offering, Amador Whiskey Co. Double Barrel, marries the best of Kentucky Bourbon with Napa Valley wine barrel finishing. They're certainly carving out their own niche, and capitalizing on the family's long-tenured history in the wine biz. Keep your eye on the younger Trinchero family members, there are big things in store.
