Caymus Vineyards offers a classic American success story, built on hard work and dogged perseverance. Chuck Wagner’s leadership has broadened the scope of this icon well beyond the bounds of Napa Valley, but the seed of Caymus was planted long ago. Chuck’s earliest ancestors arrived in Napa Valley by wagon train in the 1850s and soon embarked on farming and winemaking. The family business fell victim to prohibition, but wine ran in their veins and Chuck was able to help his folks rekindle the ancestral fire. Today, two of Chuck’s kids carry the torch alongside their dad, lighting up new territory from the Suisun Valley all the way down to South America.
