Built in the 16th century, Chateau du Breuil sits among the 22,000 apple trees that grow on the lush, green landscape. Using only fruit grown in the Pays d'Auge region, Breuil ferments its own cider which is then double-distilled in Charentais pot stills. The distillate is then aged in Limousin and Troncais oak until fully mature and ready to bottle. The XO expression is aged more than 20 years and blended to perfection. Aromas of dried apple skin, a hint of tobacco, brown butter and caramel lead to a warm, richly developed palate and a sublime finish. Among the best non-vintage Calvados we have had the opportunity to taste. You'll thank us for the recommendation!
