A bourbon drinker's dream Japanese whisky. This Kumamoto distillery has been in business since the 19th century and is known for their variety of liqueurs and Shochu. The whisky, distilled from 100% rice, is aged in new-charred oak barrels and will remind you of lighter styles of bourbon. Hints of vanilla and baking spice intoxicate the nose. The palate is replete with lemon curd and almonds. Its silky smooth texture is inviting and buttery, and leads to a long finish with hints of Bananas Foster.
