Griffo 'Scott Street' Gin
Named for the street the distillery lives on and their first release, 'Scott Street' is a London Gin that is fresh, inviting and clean. With a nod to gin's history and classic recipes this is an easy drinking style with a good juniper base note that makes way for bright citrus, coriander and pepper aromas. Soft on the palate with a spicy finish, this is one gin you can wave the vermouth over and strain into your martini glass. They make gin the way they like it, we think you'll like it too!
There is a lot to love in Petaluma, California. The town was once the hatchery capital of the world and hosts the "Butter and Egg Days Parade" each spring to celebrate this heritage. It is also home to the Lagunitas brewery, the Sonoma-Marin fair (with the world's only annual "Ugliest Dog" competition), and a historic downtown featured in Hollywood films over the years. Across the street from Lagunitas, husband and wife team Michael and Jenny Griffo have opened a new grain-to glass distillery. Starting wtih a gin, they work their small copper still 7-days a week and have quickly begun to churn out some great stuff! Choosing local ingredients as much as they can, they are the true definition of California ingenuity and Michael's academic background comes in handy. Prior to putting his eggs in this basket he spent several years distilling in a university setting. We're looking forward to more great ideas (and spirits) to hatch from this new still on the block.
