La Venenosa Raicilla was created by Chef Esteban Morales to bring global awareness to these hidden jewels. He sought out the best producers in every corner of Jalisco. Each of their Raicilla expressions is unique and this bottling of Tabernas is one of the most approachable we’ve ever tried. This is the stuff we drink from little plastic bottles, filled straight from the still, when we make producer visits to Jalisco.
Sweet apples and tart citrus aromas melding with just a hint of roasted earth. There’s a slight buttery tone with an elegant acidic backbone that keeps the palate vibrant and fresh. It’s pleasant balance of smoke and cooked agave is remarkable. A perfect entry to the world of Raicilla.
