Michter's 'Barrel Strength'Rye Whiskey Kentucky
Michter's has done it again! They're always pushing the envelope by creating new and innovative whiskies. They have reached another milestone with this rye release. Maturation in charred oak barrels begins at 103 proof -lower than industry standard- and is then bottled at barrel strength. Distiller Willie Pratt believe this process produces a richer, more full-bodied whiskey and we are inclined to agree. Butterscotch, cinnamon and toasted vanilla aromas give way to a spice-laden backbone and long finish. Great rye doesn't come along everyday, you'd be wise to grab a bottle of this very limited release!
