NV R.H. Coutier Champagne Grand Cru Brut Rosé
The NV R.H. Coutier Champagne Grand Cru Brut Rosé is a delightful and sophisticated Champagne, offering a balance of freshness and depth. The bouquet features red fruit notes such as strawberry, raspberry, and red currant. There are also floral hints, like rose petals, and a touch of citrus zest. As it opens up, subtle yeasty and biscuity aromas typical of Champagne emerge, adding complexity. On the palate, the wine displays a combination of red berry flavors (strawberry, cherry, and raspberry) with hints of blood orange. There is a pleasant mineral undertone from the chalky soils of the Grand Cru vineyards. The mouthfeel is creamy with a fine mousse that is lively but not overwhelming. It shows a delicate balance between the acidity and fruit, with a slight touch of tannin from the red wine component. The finish is long, crisp, and refreshing, with lingering notes of red fruits and a slight hint of spice.
Vinous
The NV Brut Rosé Grand Cru is super-expressive from the first taste. Dried rose petals, mint, orange peel, jasmine and bright saline notes abound. This mid-weight nervy rose has a ton to offer. There's plenty of depth, but it is expressed in an understated way. This is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from Ambonnay.
