Bulleit 10-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
10-years is a sweet spot for bourbon. This is an expression that has everyone talking. Aromas of cinnamon and clove spice with caramel, maple and dried cherry flavors and a smooth silky finish that begs for another sip. With a new lower price there is plenty of reason to grab a few bottles and make this your new house bourbon.
In 1987, Thomas E. Bulleit, Jr., fulfilled a lifelong dream of reviving an old family bourbon recipe by starting the Bulleit Distilling Company. Inspired by his great-great-grandfather Augustus Bulleit, a tavern keeper in Louisville, Kentucky who made a high-rye whiskey between 1830-1860, Tom left a successful law practice and risked everything to experience life on the frontier. Today, we're not the only ones who are glad he did.
The creamy caramel and vanilla scent is echoed on the palate, where it's also interwoven with espresso and clove, finishing relatively dry. A splash of water mellows the alcohol heat and the flavor still sings out boldly.
