2010 'AchA Red Blend California
This is undoubtedly a Tempranillo for Cabernet lovers, boasting expressive, juicy aromas of blackberry, black cherry, an exotic varnish note, blood oranges, and cocoa. It's easy to see why this black-hearted style of Tempranillo looks less like Rioja and more like Ribera del Duero.
Parker raved, "the 2010 Acha boasts a deep, full-bodied mouthfeel, terrific fat and flesh, and copious amounts of blackberries, black raspberries, black currants, licorice, graphite and vanillin characteristics. It could be called the California version of the famous Pingus from Ribera del Duero. There are 425 cases of this beauty."
