It always pays to get in the game early. Being Napa locals, we get wind of producers doing things well a long time before most people have ever heard of them. Such was the case with Alpha Omega, a house on Highway 29 that knocked on our doors with their first vintages a few years back and got our attention in a big way.
They’ve become something of a rock star and allocations are getting tougher to come by. They’ve upped their game by adding world-renowned consultant Michel Rolland to assist his onetime winemaking protégé Jean Hoefliger with blending, and as Robert Parker has written, “This relatively new Rutherford winery continues to turn out impressive wines that merit attention from consumers.” We’re looking out for our clientele and constantly searching for “great stuff.” These wines certainly meet that standard.
