2013 Argot Wines 'Slang' Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
ar·got /ahr-goh, - guh t/ noun. The jargon or slang of a particular group or class. Argot is the project of winemaker Justin Harmon, who was inspired to make wine by reading about Sean Thackrey. This is a “garagiste” operation for sure, made at a custom crush facility in Santa Rosa, and made to appeal to a group of insiders. It’s a group you’ll be happy to join. With only 400 cases made, this is a big, dark perpetrator with aromas of black cherry, fresh herbs, cranberry, and baking spices.
