2013 Brassfield Estate 'Eruption' Red Wine High Valley
This perennial favorite of our staff and clients is an eclectic blend of 38% Malbec, 36% Syrah, 16% Mourvèdre, and 10% Petite Sirah, from the 2200’ slopes of an extinct volcano in Lake County’s High Valley. This has such an engaging, thick texture and jammy personality, and a pyroclastic flow of red fruit on the palate. Whoa! Hold on to your hat.

Once a thriving winegrowing region prior to Prohibition, the High Valley area is only sparsely dotted with wineries today. Fortunately, Brassfield's proprietor Jerry Brassfield saw incredible potential in the land and in 1973 he set out to become a world-class winery, producing high-quality wines as unique as the land on which they're grown.About Brassfield
