2013 Louis Max 'Les Terres Froides' Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir for under $20 is becoming something of a rarity these days. Some people claim to have seen Bigfoot more times than they find a quality Pinot for that kind of coin. That’s where we come in. Southeastern France isn’t known for their Pinot Noir, but this bottling may just change that. Succulent red berries, cherries and hints of vanilla deliver a sumptuous mouthful of fruit with a clean and mouthwatering finish. If this isn’t your thing, we’re not sure there’s more we can do for you.

In 1859, Georgia native Evgueni Louis Max left his home country and fell in love with Burgundy (as so many have both before and after him). He set up his own wine company in his beloved, adopted Burgundy, in the heart of Nuits-Saint-Georges. While phylloxera and a few political skirmishes put a damper on things, throughout its history Louis Max has been obsessed with quality. Today they farm a handful of vineyard sites - large and small - across much of France's eastern wine regions. From Chablis to Beaujolais and beyond they farm impeccable sites and bring the grapes to the mother ship estate in Nuits-Saint-Georges to be vinified into exceptional, traditional wines with verve and character.About Louis Max
