The Rarest Scotch Whisky Collection 2016
Six of our favorite whiskies from the Diageo-Reserve special release tasting that we put together in one incredible collection.
Auchroisk 25 year Single Malt Whisky - Speyside A remarkably sweet, rich nose of butterscotch and candied pears. A smooth and delicate palate, with a lot of nuance. Simply a sexy sipper.
Cambus 40 year Single Grain Whisky - Lowland Rich toasted coconut and tropical fruit. Floral tones through the palate with a spiced oak finish. Best grain whisky we have ever tasted.
Dailuaine 34 year Single Malt Whisky - Speyside Spiced raspberries and a hint of oak-laden vanilla on the nose with a full-bodied, character laced with toffee. A long, finish that reminds of us the great wheated-bourbons of Kentucky. Spectacular.
Lagavulin '200th Anniversary' 12 year Single Malt Whisky - Islay Dense smoke and a rich tropical fruit essence. Almost agave-like in its freshness and palate vivacity. Far more complex than even your best 12 year Single Malt.
Mannochmore 25 year Single Malt Whisky - Speyside Sweet toffee and sherry aromas. Rich intense American oak character and a lingering finish.
Pittyvaich 25 year Single Malt Whisky - Speyside Spiced orange peel and a hint of mineral layer nicely on the nose. With a long, drawn-out finish balanced between heat and sweet fruit, this is one you'll want to savor.
