Growing up in the Willamette Valley of Oregon with a last name like mine, I think I always knew I would end up in the beverage industry. My father taught me to enjoy a beverage for the flavor and the experience, so wine and cordials were common place around the house growing up.

I first met my little whiskey girl shooting archery in 2004 and we were married in 2007. She helped me to find my true passion in wine and spirits, our first visit to Napa was 4 years ago, and we moved here 3 months later. Today we still enjoy a day in the valley to visit iconic wineries and hidden gems, when not out at the archery range or snuggling our Australian Shepard and Golden Retriever.

Since moving to California I have had the honor of working at several wineries in the valley and visit countless others. My grandfather always told me, “When you stop learning you fail.” I have taken it upon myself to learn as much as I can about wine and spirits, initially choosing to become certified with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET 2). Today I continue to learn and taste as much as I can because a glass of wine or a finger of spirits is a doorway to stories, knowledge, and experiences.
