This whiskey is an interesting blend of two of their mash bills:
Whiskey 1 is 48% winter rye, 40% corn, and 12%
malted barley, and Whiskey 2 is 68% corn, 20% winter
rye, and 12% malted barley—married and then
Brown butter, caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg are just some of the aromas you’ll find in this exceptional craft whiskey. The palate is medium-bodied and loaded with spice, cocoa powder, vanilla custard, and dried fruit. With a drawn out finish that shows some hints of fresh grain and cherry compote this is a special whiskey you’ll be enjoying over and over.
Founded in 2009 by Brad and Kate Mead in Kirby, WY, this family-owned and operated distillery is one of the, if not THE, best cra¬ft whiskey producer in the United States. They got on their feet with the help of Steve Nally, who was a Master Distiller with Maker’s Mark for decades. The mantra of their enterprise is “Wyoming, Family, Whiskey.” Everything here is focused on locale. They take full advantage of their location in the Big Horn Basin, adjacent to the mighty river. All of the grain used is non-GMO and is farmed locally. The pristine water used is from a limestone aquifer not far from the distillery.
