2019 Buoncristiani Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Expect to find deep aromas of cassis, black cherry, incense, dark chocolate, caramelized oak, toffee, and the Buoncristiani signatures of balance, depth on the mid-palate, and a lengthy persistent finish. A precise amount of Malbec was carefully folded into the final blend to add complexity and depth to the profile. Twenty-seven months aging in 80% new French oak barrels rounded out the palate even further, while adding more texture, aroma and flavor.

The appellation 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is rock star stuff, offering a ripe, textured, fruit-loaded yet balanced style as well as classic notes of cassis, blackberries, lead pencil shavings, and hints of tobacco and herbs. A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot, it’s well worth seeking out and is going to have 10-15 years of prime drinking. There are 680 cases produced.
