Cream of Kentucky Bottled in Bond Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
Cream rises to the top, and this highly allocated, bottled in bond whiskey should be at the top of your wish list. There isn’t a lot to go around, in fact, so maybe it should go into your cart before it’s stuck on that wish list forever. Introduced in 1888, re-introduced in 1934, and then brought to new heights by distilling legend Jim Rutledge with this six-year,100-proof straight rye-whiskey, Cream of Kentucky is a top-shelf stalwart. Jim picked the barrels himself for this beauty, and there’s no denying the superb tasting experience that awaits you. Aromas of spearmint, cinnamon, brown sugar and black pepper find a little floral fruitiness and a hint of pipe tobacco. The finish is mellow and medium-long with more black pepper, cayenne and a light raisin note.
