Espadin, the inaugural offering in the Los Vecinos collection, is crafted entirely from Espadin agave, which is considered the genetic precursor to blue agave. This particular agave variety, Espadin, is renowned for its versatility and is the predominant choice for mezcal production. When it comes time for harvest, Espadin agaves are typically aged for 7-8 years before being utilized. These agave plants thrive at altitudes ranging from 980 to 1840 meters above sea level in the Valles Centrales region of Oaxaca.
